Our school is situated in a region economically disadvantaged and in constant changing, cultural, social and economical changes. The economy is poorly developed area and this is why many families go abroad to find a job. In our school there are many students whose parents work in EU countries. The school prepares students for the energetic sector of Hunedoara county and the surrounding counties. In 2009, we became a European School. We have classes in the fields of mechanics, electricity and electronics. Our students have the possibility of attending evening classes, too.

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE PROGRAMME:

Through this program we want to cooperate with schools from the

European Union to broaden our knowledge about renewable sources of energy, tolerance, culture, tradition, functioning in particular societies. We would like to interest our pupils with practical knowledge. The cooperation will be based on spending time together, exchanging experiences using ITC between schools involved in the project. International cooperation would help us to cross the barriers, destroy prejudice. The positive results of the cooperation would help young people from our country believe in themselves, become tolerant and understand the diversity of European cultures and the benefits of using renewable sources of energy. Participation in the project will influence our quality of work and it will be the beginning of long term cooperation with schools from other countries, even when the project is over. European cooperation and project work activities during the project years can develop creative teaching and learning methods, which can be introduced in curricular or extracurricular activities of partner schools.
